Flamingo Dating began when the founder, Andreas, grew frustrated with dating apps and decided to delete them altogether.
Looking for a more natural and enjoyable way to meet people, he organised a singles social for his friends. The experience was such a success that it inspired more events, bringing more people together and eventually growing into the brand of today.

Andreas comes from Cyprus, often known as the Island of Love. According to Greek mythology, Cyprus is the birthplace of Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty.
Our brand name Flamingo Dating was inspired by the beautiful Larnaca Salt Lake in Cyprus, where thousands of pink flamingos flock each winter. They represent serenity, beauty and connection.
Flamingo Dating encourages people to meet each other in real life, under our wing (no pun intended) whether that's platonic or otherwise!
