These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to tickets for events organised by Flamingo Dating (“Flamingo Dating”, “we”, “us” or “our”). “You” means the person purchasing, receiving or using a ticket, or attending an event, as applicable.
By purchasing, receiving or using a ticket for a Flamingo Dating event, you agree to these Terms.
Further trader and contact information is available on our Legal Information page: https://flamingodating.co.uk/legal-flamingo-dating/
BOOKINGS, TICKETS AND REFUNDS
  1. Tickets are non-refundable if you change your mind or are unable to attend the event. As our events are leisure activities provided on a specific date, the statutory 14-day cooling-off period does not normally apply to ticket purchases. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have.
  2. If Flamingo Dating cancels an event, ticket holders will be entitled to a refund in accordance with their statutory rights and the applicable terms of the ticketing platform used. Where applicable, refund requests may be submitted through the ticketing platform used to purchase the ticket (such as Eventbrite) or by emailing andreas@flamingodating.co.uk
  3. Flamingo Dating may make reasonable changes to event timings, venue arrangements and other event details where necessary. If an event is rescheduled to a different date, moved to a materially different location, or otherwise materially changed, customers who do not wish or are unable to attend the revised event may request a refund where they are entitled to one under applicable consumer law. We will communicate material changes as soon as reasonably practicable.
  4. Flamingo Dating does not guarantee a particular number of attendees or an equal number of male and female guests at any event. Where an event is advertised for a particular age group, we take reasonable steps to apply the advertised age requirements. However, we rely partly on information provided by attendees and cannot guarantee the accuracy of the age or other personal information they provide.
  5. Flamingo Dating events may be designed for specific age groups, as stated in the relevant event listing. By booking or using a ticket, you confirm that you meet the advertised age requirements for that event. Flamingo Dating may exercise reasonable discretion in individual cases. We reserve the right to refuse entry without refund where an attendee is materially outside the advertised age group, has misrepresented their age, or is unable or unwilling to provide reasonable proof of age when requested.
  6. Some events are subject to minimum attendance numbers. Flamingo Dating reserves the right to cancel an event where the required minimum attendance is not reached. Where Flamingo Dating cancels an event for this reason, ticket holders will be entitled to the applicable refund set out above.
  7. By booking, receiving or using a ticket for a Flamingo Dating event, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over.
  8. Tickets may not be transferred to another person without the prior approval of Flamingo Dating. If you wish to transfer your ticket, please contact us before the event. Transfers are subject to approval and any applicable eligibility requirements for the relevant event.
  9. By booking a ticket, you agree to receive essential communications relating to your booking and event, including event updates, reminders, venue information and schedule changes. It is your responsibility to provide accurate contact details and to check your inbox, including spam or junk folders.
CONDUCT AND EVENT RULES
  1. You must treat other attendees, hosts, Flamingo Dating representatives and venue staff respectfully and comply with our Code of Conduct and any reasonable event or venue rules.
  2. If we receive a complaint, observe concerning behaviour, or otherwise have reasonable grounds to believe that these Terms or the Code of Conduct may have been breached, we may make reasonable enquiries and take action proportionate to the circumstances. Depending on the seriousness of the matter, this may include a warning, refusal of entry, removal from an event, temporary suspension or a ban from future Flamingo Dating events.
  3. A complaint does not automatically result in a ban. We will use reasonable discretion having regard to the information available, the seriousness of the alleged conduct, safety considerations and any relevant pattern of behaviour.
  4. Where you are refused entry or removed from an event because of your breach of these Terms, the Code of Conduct, venue rules, or because of threatening, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, unsafe or seriously inappropriate behaviour, you will not normally be entitled to a refund, except where required by law.
  5. Flamingo Dating may request suitable identification where reasonably necessary to verify age or compliance with an event’s entry requirements. We do not store or retain copies of identification solely because it has been shown to a host for this purpose.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING
  1. Photos or videos may be taken at Flamingo Dating events for legitimate promotional and business purposes, including use on our website, social media channels, press materials and advertising. Where filming or photography is planned, we may also provide notice through the event listing. Where photography or filming is planned at an event, this will be stated in the relevant event listing or booking information before the event.
  2. If you do not wish to be intentionally photographed or filmed for promotional content, please tell a host on arrival or contact us before the event. We will take reasonable steps to avoid intentionally featuring you in identifiable promotional content. At busy events, you may still appear incidentally in wide-angle or background footage where it is not reasonably practicable to exclude every attendee.
  3. Where we specifically ask you to take part in posed, featured or testimonial-style promotional content, we may seek separate permission where appropriate. If you are identifiable in content that has already been published and would like us to review its use, contact andreas@flamingodating.co.uk and we will consider the request in accordance with applicable data protection law and the circumstances of the use.
  4. Copyright and other intellectual property rights in photographs, videos and other media remain with Flamingo Dating, the photographer, videographer or other relevant rights holder, as applicable. Nothing in these Terms removes any rights you have under data protection law.
MEETING PEOPLE AT OUR EVENTS
  1. Flamingo Dating provides social events where single people can meet one another. We provide the opportunity to meet people but do not guarantee that you will meet, match with, exchange contact details with, date or form a relationship of any kind  with any other attendee.
  2. We do not conduct background checks on attendees and do not independently verify every attendee’s identity, profession, education, relationship status, criminal history or other personal information unless we expressly state otherwise for a particular event.
  3. You are responsible for deciding whether, how and when to continue contact with someone you meet. You should verify any personal information to your own satisfaction and use the same care and judgement you would when meeting any new person.
  4. By attending an event advertised for singles, you confirm that you are currently single and that you meet any clearly stated eligibility requirements for that event. We may refuse entry or take action under the Conduct and Event Rules section where a person has materially misrepresented their eligibility.
  5. Attendees are responsible for their own conduct and personal decisions. Flamingo Dating cannot control the independent actions of attendees or other third parties before, during or after an event. Any liability of Flamingo Dating is subject to the Liability section below.
VENUES, TIMING AND ACCESSIBILITY
  1. Flamingo Dating events may be held at independently owned and operated venues. Attendees must comply with the venue’s lawful entry requirements and rules, including any requirements relating to identification, age verification, alcohol service, security or conduct.
  2. In exceptional circumstances, including circumstances outside our reasonable control, a venue, start time or other event detail may need to change at short notice. We will take reasonable steps to notify ticket holders as soon as practicable. Any entitlement to a refund arising from a material change is governed by the Bookings, Tickets and Refunds section above.
  3. Attendees who arrive late may not be able to take part in every element of an event. We may refuse entry where late arrival would materially disrupt the event, or where an attendee appears seriously intoxicated, behaves inappropriately or does not meet applicable venue entry requirements.
  4. We aim to make our events as accessible as reasonably possible, but accessibility can vary between venues. If you have accessibility requirements, please contact us in advance so that we can discuss them and, where required and reasonably possible, work with the venue to consider reasonable adjustments. Nothing in this clause limits any legal duty to make reasonable adjustments.
LIABILITY
  1. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded.
  2. Subject to the paragraph above, Flamingo Dating is responsible for loss or damage that is a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not reasonably foreseeable, was not caused by our breach or negligence, or results from the independent acts or omissions of attendees, venues or other third parties outside our reasonable control.
  3. You are responsible for your personal belongings while attending an event. Flamingo Dating is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings unless it results from our breach of legal duty or negligence.
  4. Tickets and events are supplied for personal and private use. We are not responsible for business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or anticipated savings, arising from a consumer booking.
COPYRIGHT, WEBSITE CONTENT AND THIRD-PARTY LINKS
  1. Unless otherwise stated, website content and materials created by Flamingo Dating, including text, graphics, branding, photographs and other original content, are owned by or licensed to Flamingo Dating and may not be copied, reproduced, republished or commercially used without permission, except where permitted by law.
  2. Our website or event communications may contain links to third-party websites or services. Those third parties are responsible for their own content, availability and terms. A link does not necessarily mean that Flamingo Dating endorses or controls the third-party service.
  3. We take reasonable care to keep general website and event information accurate, but information may change and minor errors may occur. Nothing in this clause limits any rights you have where information forms part of the contract for a ticket or service.
NATURE OF THE SERVICE
  1. Flamingo Dating organises social events and experiences for singles. Some events or services may include optional matchmaking, compatibility or introduction features where this is clearly stated in the relevant event or service description. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Flamingo Dating does not provide identity-verification or background-checking services.
MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
  1. Essential communications about a booking or event are separate from marketing communications and may be sent where necessary to provide the service you have booked.
  2. We will only send electronic marketing communications where we have a lawful basis to do so and where the applicable electronic marketing rules allow it, for example where you have consented or where the customer ‘soft opt-in’ applies and its requirements are met.
  3. You can opt out of marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe option in a marketing message or by contacting andreas@flamingodating.co.uk. Opting out of marketing will not prevent us from sending essential communications about an existing booking or event.
COMPLAINTS AND CONTACT
  1. If you have a complaint about a booking or event, please contact andreas@flamingodating.co.uk and provide, where possible, your name, booking reference, event details and a brief description of the issue. We will review the matter and respond as soon as reasonably practicable.
  2. Further legal and trader information is available at https://flamingodating.co.uk/legal-flamingo-dating/.
RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CODE OF CONDUCT
  1. The Code of Conduct applies to all Flamingo Dating attendees and should be read alongside these Terms. If there is an inconsistency, these Terms govern contractual matters such as bookings, payments and refunds, while the Code of Conduct governs expected behaviour at and in connection with our events, subject always to applicable law.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
  1. We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you make a booking will normally apply to that booking, unless a change is required by law or is otherwise necessary and does not materially disadvantage you. The latest version will be made available on our website.
GOVERNING LAW
  1. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory legal protections or rights you have to bring proceedings in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.
