This Privacy Policy explains how Flamingo Dating collects, uses, shares and protects personal information, and the rights available to you under UK data protection law.

Who We Are
  1. Flamingo Dating is a trading name operated by Andreas Avraam, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. Flamingo Dating is the data controller for personal information where we decide how and why it is used.

Information We Collect
  1. Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
  2. your name and email address;
  3. age or age group and other information needed to check event eligibility;
  4. event, ticket and booking information;
  5. information you provide in enquiries, feedback, surveys, complaints or conduct reports;
  6. marketing preferences;
  7. photographs or video footage taken at our events; and
  8. technical website information such as IP address, device/browser information, pages viewed and information collected through cookies or similar technologies.
  9. If you book through a third-party ticketing platform, such as Eventbrite or another provider we use, that provider may also collect information directly from you under its own privacy terms. We do not normally receive or store your full payment-card details when payment is handled by a third-party provider.
How and Why We Use Your Information
  1. We use personal information only where we have a lawful basis to do so. This may include:
  2. Contract – to process bookings, provide the event you purchased and send essential booking or event updates;
  3. Legal obligation – where we need to keep records or use information to comply with the law;
  4. Legitimate interests – to operate and improve our events and website, respond to enquiries, protect attendees and the business, manage complaints or conduct issues, and keep appropriate business records; and
  5. Consent – where consent is required, for example for certain marketing or non-essential website technologies.
  6. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether our use is necessary and proportionate and whether your rights and interests override those interests.
Marketing Communications
  1. We may send you information about future Flamingo Dating events and similar services where you have consented, or where the applicable soft opt-in rules allow us to contact an existing customer. Where the soft opt-in is used, you will have been given an opportunity to opt out when your details were collected and each marketing email will include an easy way to unsubscribe.
  2. You can unsubscribe at any time. We may keep a minimal suppression record so that we can respect your request. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential communications about an event you have booked.
Photography and Video at Events
  1. We may take photographs or video at Flamingo Dating events for our website, social media, advertising, press and other promotional material. Where photography or filming is taking place, we aim to make attendees aware.
  2. For general event photography we may rely on our legitimate interests in documenting and promoting Flamingo Dating. Where appropriate, particularly for prominent, posed or individually focused content, we may seek permission separately.
  3. If you do not wish to appear in identifiable promotional content, please tell the event host or contact us and we will take reasonable steps to respect your request.
Cookies, Analytics and Website Technologies
  1. Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the website to function. Where required, non-essential analytics, advertising or measurement technologies are used only after the relevant consent has been obtained.
  2. We use Complianz to manage website cookie consent. Our separate Cookie Policy on the Flamingo Dating website contains more detailed and up-to-date information about the cookies and services used on the site.
Who We Share Information With and International Transfers
  1. We do not sell your personal information. Where reasonably necessary, we may share information with:
  2. ticketing, booking and payment providers;
  3. website hosting, WordPress, email, analytics, advertising and other technology providers;
  4. venues where information is genuinely needed for an event or safety-related purpose;
  5. professional advisers such as accountants, insurers or legal advisers; and
  6. regulators, courts, government bodies or law-enforcement authorities where required by law.
  7. Some service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where a restricted international transfer takes place, we use an appropriate legal transfer mechanism where required, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.
How Long We Keep Your Information
  1. We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet legal, accounting, tax, contractual or dispute-related requirements.
  2. Booking and transaction records may be kept for the period required for business, tax, legal or dispute purposes.
  3. Marketing information may be kept while you remain subscribed; a minimal suppression record may be kept after you unsubscribe.
  4. Enquiries, complaints and conduct records may be kept for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the matter, protect attendees or manage disputes.
  5. Photographs and promotional material may be kept while they remain reasonably relevant to our promotional purposes, subject to your applicable rights.
  6. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer reasonably required.
Your Data Protection Rights and Complaints
  1. Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or receive a copy of your personal information, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on consent. You also have an absolute right to object to your personal information being used for direct marketing.
  2. Not every right applies in every situation. To exercise a right, contact us using the details below.
  3. If you are unhappy with how we use your personal information, please contact us first so we can investigate. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator.
